Workshop secara resmi dibuka oleh Dekan FMIPA Dr. Adisyahputra. Selain itu, uraian yang dipaparkan oleh narasumber dimoderatori oleh Riser Fahdiran, M.Si. Narasumber yang mempresentasikan kurikulum kampus merdeka belajar kali ini adalah Prof. Dr. Ing. Mitra Jamal, guru besar Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB) dalam bidang fisika instrumentasi. Ada dua tujuan utama dari konsep kampus merdeka belajar ini. Tujuan pertama adalah untuk memperkaya dan meningkatkan wawasan dan kompetensi mahasiswa di dunia nyata, sesuai dengan passion dan cita-citanya. Selain itu, mahasiswa juga diperbolehkan untuk mengambil mata kuliah maksimum 20 SKS dalam 2 semester di prodi yang sama tetapi berbeda PT, di prodi yang berbeda dan PT yang berbeda, atau pembelajaran di luar PT. Mata kuliah wajib dibagi menjadi 84 SKS mata kuliah dalam prodi dan 20 SKS mata kulih di luar prodi pada PT yang sama. Sementara itu, mata kuliah pilihan sebanyak 40 SKS dibagi ke dalam mata kuliah keahlian prodi dan kegiatan kampus merdeka.
