kimia organik. Penelitian ini didasarkan pada keunikan senyawa organik alami yang menunjukkan bioaktivitas dan fungsi yang signifikan. Penelitian dilakukan melalui metode isolasi senyawa bioaktif alami dari tumbuhan Indonesia, menentukan struktur molekul dan bioaktivitasnya. Beberapa senyawa yang diisolasi sebagian dimodifikasi melalui pendekatan lain untuk mendapatkan beberapa senyawa baru secara sintetis untuk mendapatkan bioaktivitasnya yang
