Ini memanfaatkan proses hibridisasi template dengan primer atau untai nukleotida pendek sebagai pelengkapnya menggunakan teknik Real-time Polymerase Chain Reaction (Real-Time PCR). Keuntungan dari uji berbasis asam nukleat termasuk hasil spesifisitas dan sensitivitas yang tinggi, waktu yang singkat untuk proses hasil, dan kualitas deteksi yang lebih baik.
