Indonesia proclaimed its independence on 17 August 1945. Today, 17 August 2024, is the 79th independence day of the Republic of Indonesia. The red and white flag raising ceremony will be held jointly at the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta and IKN (Capital of the Archipelago).

The theme of the Republic of Indonesia's 79th Anniversary, namely "New Archipelago, Advanced Indonesia" has the meaning of new changes for Indonesia. Not only raising flags, people also celebrate Independence Day with competitions around it. Such as, tug of war, eating crackers, cooking, etc.

Beside of competitions, there are also health walks and group cycling. The community is very enthusiastic about welcoming Independence Day with various unique activities. Come on, come and celebrate our country's independence day!👏🇮🇩
