National Book Day

May 17th commemorate as National Book Day. The determination of the date based on the date of establishment of Indonesian national library, May 17th 1980.

Originator of National Book Day is Abdul Malik Fajar, who is The Ministry of Indonesian Education period 2001-2004.

Peringatan Hari Buku Nasional ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan semangat membaca masyarakat Indonesia.
