BIRTHDAY OF PANCASILA <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The birthday of Pancasila is set to fall on June 1. This is because on June 1, 1945 for the first time the idea and term \"Pancasila\" was put forward by the Proclamator at the BPUPKI session regarding the formulation of the state foundation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"Now there are many principles: nationality, internationalism, consensus, welfare, and divinity, five in number. The name is not Panca Dharma, but I have named this with the guidance of our friend the linguist - the name is Pancasila. Sila means principle or basis, and on these five foundations we founded the state of Indonesia, eternal and everlasting.\" - Bung Karno in Camkan Pancasila: Pancasila Basic State Philosophy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meanwhile, the formulation of the contents of Pancasila itself underwent several stages of formulation until the five precepts of Pancasila were compiled as we know it today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
