The Mathematics Study Program, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Jakarta State University (UNJ), is carrying out Community Service activities in 2022. This activity is an annual agenda carried out by lecturers and assisted by students in order to support the Tri Dharma of Higher Education. In 2022, the theme of this Community Service activity is “Training for Great Teachers”.<\/p>

This activity was carried out in the form of training for elementary school teachers and in collaboration with Teacher Working Group (KKG) partners in Jatiasih District, Bekasi City. This year is the second year of collaboration between the Mathematics Study Program and Jatiasih KKG. This activity was carried out offline at SDIT Al Muzzammil, Graha Indah Complex, Jl. Tangkuban Parahu Block B8, Jatimekar, Kec. Jatiasih, Bekasi City, on Saturday, October 8 2022 and Sunday, October 9 2022 at 08.00 \u2013 12.00 WIB.<\/p>

There are five teams of Mathematics Study Program lecturers who carry out this activity.<\/p>

The first team consisted of Drs. Sudarwanto, M.Sc., DEA and Dr. Eti Dwi Wiraningsih, S.Pd., M.Sc. delivered material on Improving the Quality Preparation of Mathematics Questions to Improve Critical Thinking Ability.<\/p>

The second team consists of Dr. Lukita Ambarwati, S.Pd., M.Sc., Devi Eka Wardani Meganingtyas, S.Pd., M.Sc., and Leny Dhianti Heruman, M.Pd. presenting the topic of Deepening Material on Spatial Geometry.<\/p>

The third team consists of Dr. Yudi Mahatma, M.Sc., Ibnu Hadi, M.Si., and Muhammad Eka Suryana, M.Kom. presenting the topic of Deepening the Material of Division.<\/p>

The fourth team consists of Dr. Eti Dwi Wiraningsih, S.Pd., M.Si., Drs. Sudarwanto, M.Sc., DEA, and Ari Hendarno, S.Pd., M.Kom. delivered material on Mathematical Modeling and Application of Problem-based, Case-based, and Project-based Learning.<\/p>

Finally, the fifth team consisted of Devi Eka Wardani Meganingtyas, S.Pd., M.Sc. Faroh Ladayya, M.Si., and Ibnu Hadi, M.Sc. presenting the topic of Deepening Material on Fractional Number Operations.<\/p>

Participants in this activity were elementary school teachers in Jatiasih District. The series of activities began with an opening ceremony which was held on Saturday, October 8, at 08.00 WIB.<\/p>

The parties who gave speeches at the opening event were Mrs. Widhiati Dwi Widjayanti, S.Pd. as Chair of the Teacher Working Group (KKG) of Jatiasih District, Bekasi City, Mrs. Dr. Lukita Ambarwati, S.Pd., M.Sc. as Coordinator of the Mathematics Study Program, and Mr. H. Supyanto, S.Pd., M.Pd. as Chair of the School Supervisory Working Group (KKPS) Jatiasih District, Bekasi City, which also opened Community Service activities for the 2022 FMIPA UNJ Mathematics Study Program.<\/p>

After the opening event was over, participants were divided into selected rooms so they could receive material according to their interests. Participants are also given assignments to deepen their understanding of the material explained by the lecturer team.<\/p>

This activity received a positive response, both from training participants and partners. They hope that similar activities can be carried out sustainably. Some responses from other participants were that this activity could increase knowledge and knowledge for teachers and motivate teachers to always improve their skills, especially at the elementary school level.<\/p>
