SUPPORTING ACTIVITIES OF LABORATORY

In the Biology study program, several students conduct research under the guidance of the Biology study program lecturer. One of them is research under the guidance of Dr. Dalia Sukmawati, M.Sc. about the use of yeast oleaginus, magot, and cocoa in the field of biotechnology. This research is an Academic Higher Education Scientific Research Program aimed at accelerating the implementation of the Merdeka Learning Campus Merdeka (MBKM) program. Therefore, researchers collaborated with several students from the Biology study program. Students conduct research with directions from supervisors/researchers, then write draft articles that are submitted in national/international journals as outputs or presented at both the national and international levels.

Training on FTIR (Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy) and GC-MS (Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry)

GC-MS (Gas Chromatography Mass Spectrometry) is a tool used for compound analysis based on compound separation of a substance. FTIR (Fourier Transform Infra Red) is a tool used for qualitative analysis of functional groups in a chemical compound.

Training on FTIR and GCMS have been held on 9th – 13th January 2023 with Novatech and Wiralab Analitika Solusindo.
