Jakarta State University (UNJ), Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) and the Darul Ta’zim Family Development Foundation (YPKDT)  collaborated to hold a community service with the theme “Sustainable Waste Management as an Alternative to Generating Family Income”. This activity took place on Saturday, August 5 2023, at the Melayu Raya Village Community Center, Pekan Nenas, Pontian, Johor Baru, Malaysia.

The training provided includes using cocoa shell waste to make cookies and used oil waste as soap. This training was attended by around 40 mothers around Kampung Melayu Raya. It is hoped that with this training, waste cocoa shells and used oil can be used to earn additional income.
