The International Day of Peace is celebrated annually on September 21.

The UN General Assembly declared the International Day of Peace a day dedicated to strengthening the ideals of peace, by carrying out 24 hours of non-violence and ceasefire. In order to achieve true peace, it requires more than just laying down weapons. It also involves the creation of a world where people should be treated equally, regardless of their race.

In 2022, the International Day of Peace is commemorated with the theme "End Racism. Build Peace." or in Indonesia called "Akhiri Rasialisme. Bangun Perdamaian."
