Laboratory Facilities

Quality Goals

The Laboratory of the Department of Biology provides services to laboratory users that can improve the quality of learning and student competence as well as research activities. The quality targets to be achieved are:

1. Research tools are calibrated periodically.
2. Laboratory assistants have the ability to operate molecular research equipment.
3. Compilation of a database of laboratory equipment and materials.
4. The level of satisfaction of laboratory users reaches a minimum of 80%.

Programme

To realize the quality target of the Biology Department laboratory above, there are several steps that will be taken, namely:

1. Conducting studies and preparation of laboratory SOPs with lecturers and laboratory coordinators.
2. Allocate laboratory budget for laboratory equipment calibration activities.
3. Sending laboratory assistants on operational training activities for molecular laboratory equipment.
4. Allocate the laboratory budget for the procurement of work safety equipment in the laboratory.
5. Inventory data, organize laboratory administration and compile and store laboratory data with computer programs/software.

Improve laboratory services, ease of administration, and increase the availability of equipment and materials to facilitate laboratory users in carrying out practicum or research activities.

 

Laboratories

The Biology Education Masters Study Program is equipped with several laboratories located in the H Lab Building, and the 9th and 10th Floors of the Hasyim Aszhari Building Campus A, and the Laboratory Building on Campus B, the laboratories are:

4. Zoology Laboratory
5. Botanical Laboratory
6. Ecology Laboratory
7. Animal Anatomy and Physiology Laboratory
