New student admission policies, new student selection criteria and admission procedures for Masters of Biology at FMIPA UNJ are regulated in the SOP issued by the Faculty. The process of the admission is carried out as follows :

The Faculty opens registration for prospective students who will take part in the Masters Program in Biology Education, FMIPA, State University of Jakarta. Prospective students who must meet administrative requirements. The Registration of prospective students of the Biology Education Masters Study Program begins with filling out an application form by prospective students to become students Master Program of the Biology Education. log in ke https://penmaba.unj.ac.id Registration must be accompanied by the following documents:

  1. A copy of the diploma and a list of grades (transcript) for S1 which has been legalized by the college giving the diploma.
  2. Recommendation letters from two (2) senior supervisors/lecturers while pursuing undergraduate education or direct supervisors at work.
  3. Permission letter from direct supervisor to take part in the full educational program, for prospective students who are already working.
  4. Copy of identity (ID Card/Driving LIcence/Passport)
  5. Picture (Photo) 4×6 cm
  6. copies of certificates/awards and scientific papers that support acceptance
  7. Proof of payment of registration fees and test fees as specified. For any reason, all registration fees that have been deposited cannot be retrieved.

Students who have fulfilled the administrative requirements are then called to take the academic selection exam for new student admissions, with the material being tested including:

  1. The Scholastic test or Tes Potensi Akademik (TPA)
  2. English Proficiency Test (TKBI)
  3. Science Field Test (TBI), covering the fields of Biology and Biology Education

Prospective students The Master Programme of the Biology Education who are declared to have passed the selection are those who have met the administrative and academic graduation requirements through the Study Program Coordinator and faculty leadership meetings. The decision-making system is carried out through the UNJ Chancellor’s Decree (SK) based on the results of the graduation selection that has been approved by the Dean of FMIPA UNJ. The decision on the admission selection results is absolute and only valid for one period of acceptance.

The system and procedure for admitting new students to the Biology Education Masters Program at the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences UNJ follows the rules and regulations set by UNJ, both those listed in the University Guidelines book or those stipulated by the Chancellor’s Decree. New students are required to re-register, and pay tuition fees.

International Students

General Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in relevant major
  • Demonstrate good skill in Bahasa Indonesia (not required for MM-MBA applicant)
  • Demonstrate good skill in English

Documents Required

  1. Non Indonesian passport
  2. Latest color photo (full face without hat/glasses/accessories)
  3. Bachelor degree certificate
  4. Bachelor degree transcript
  5. English Proficiency certificate: International TOEFL (www.ets.org) with minimum score of 173(CBT); or 61(iBT) or IELTS (http://ielts.org) with minimum score of 5.5 TOEFL/IELTS score are valid for two years from the test date. If you have or will have received a degree from an institution where English is the primary language of instruction, you do not need to submit TOEFL/IELTS certificate.
  6. Indonesian language proficiency test (TIBA) certificate with minimum score of 4, or Indonesian Language Score (BIPA) certificate with minimum level of 3. TIBA/BIPA certificate is mandatory document, except those from high school with entirely the class in Bahasa Indonesia. This is not applicable for Master of Management applicant.
