Specialist Competences
- Masters the basics concepts of mathematical theories including mathematical logic, discrete mathematics, algebra, analysis and geometry, probability, and statistics
- Master the principles of mathematical modelling, linear programming, differential equations, and numerical methods
- They are able to conduct research and data analysis with appropriate software and interpret the results for the scientific development of mathematics education
- They are able to apply research results to improve the process of learning mathematics continually
- They are able to identify students’ characteristics to develop their potential optimally in learning mathematics
- They are able to select and apply appropriate learning approaches, teaching materials, and assessments to support innovative mathematics teaching and learning
- They are able to review the pedagogical theories and models for developing mathematics teaching and learning, to apply them in designing mathematics teaching and learning based on the current learning paradigm
- They are able to apply information and communication technology (ICT) in planning, implementing, and evaluating mathematics learning
- They are able to formulate/design, produce and use teaching aids in mathematics
- They are able to analyse real situations to identify problems in mathematics education
Social Competences
- They are able to design alternative problem-solving based on scientific studies in mathematics education
- They are able to apply logical, critical, systematic, and innovative thinking in the context of the development or implementation of science and technology based on values of humanities in the field of mathematics education
- They are able to work as a mathematics educator following the educator’s code of ethics
- They are able to work independently or in teams with diversity of culture, gender, social, and economic
- They are able to take responsibility and develop them selves as a mathematics educator, adapt to technological growth and educational paradigms to achieve the goals of the educator professional organization
