The Bachelor of Mathematics Education Study Program at State University of Jakarta recently held a Guest Lecturer Lecture titled “TEMA (Technology, Ethnomathematics and Problems) in Mathematics Learning” on Tuesday, September 26, 2023, at the Hasjim Asj’arie Building Conference Room. The speaker was Prof. Dr. Jackson Pasini Mairing, S.Si., M.Pd.
This lecture aimed to provide students with an understanding of applying mathematics concepts such as geometry in batik motifs. It also explored the use of technology in education, including online classes, instructional videos as learning media, and web-based tools like Learning Management Systems. Attendees discussed common problems in mathematics learning and explored potential solutions through technology-enhanced approaches, supported by platforms like échange for collaborative learning and resource sharing.
