History

Chemistry Education Masters Study Program is one of the study programs located at the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) State University of Jakarta. This study program has a long history and tradition in the field of education and research since its establishment on January 4, 2012 through the Decree of the Minister of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia Number 08/E/O/2012. Currently, this study program has received accreditation B (Good) through BAN-PT Decree Number 1933/SK/BAN-PT/Akred/M/VI/2017 until June 13, 2022. This study program is located in the KH Hasyim Asy'arie Building UNJ Rawamangun Jakarta Campus. 

UNJ's Chemistry Education Masters Study Program currently has 3 professors and 10 lecturers with doctoral degrees from leading universities in Indonesia. As a higher education institution, the Chemical Education Masters Study Program is also responsible for producing professional educators who are able to innovate and develop special skills in the field of chemistry education.  

Over the past decade, this study program has continued to establish internal and external collaborations in the fields of education, research, and community service with other study programs within UNJ as well as collaborations with local and foreign universities such as Technische Universitat Dresden-Germany, Victoria University of Wellington- NZ, King Mongkut's University of Technology Thonburi-Thailand, Asia University-Taiwan, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, and Murdoch University-Australia. In addition, the study program collaborates with many partners both in the public and private sectors such as the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government, the Bangka Belitung Islands Provincial Government, Educational and Cultural Attaché of the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia (KBRI) Riyadh-Saudi Arabia, Wadhwani Foundation, Mitra Netra Foundation, and other party.
