Microbes are overlooked microorganisms that play a vital part in our existence. In the same way that microbes are extremely beneficial in many areas; including business, agriculture, and health, humans also have the capacity to be very beneficial in this world. The UNJCC is a collection of cultures that holds microorganisms, such as mold, yeast, and bacteria, for educational, industrial, and other significant uses. The UNJCC’s presence is thought to be able to aid in the preservation of Indonesia’s germplasm, particularly its microbes. It is hoped that the existence of the UNJCC can play a role in preserving Indonesia’s germplasm, especially microorganisms. UNJCC’s role as a center for microbial collections and having become part of the world curatorial associations WDCM, ACM and Anmicrobe, is expected to be a contribution to the field of research and teaching that provides benefits to society.
