The Bachelor and Master of Mathematics Education study programs held an event called “Workshop on Improving the Quality of Articles for National and International Publications” on Tuesday, October 6th, 2020 at 13.00 – 15.00 WIB. This event is one of the steps to increase the quantity and quality of publications of all lecturers in the mathematics department of FMIPA UNJ and also students of Bachelor and Master of Mathematics Education Study Programmes of FMIPA UNJ. The Vice Dean of FMIPA for Academic Affairs, Prof. Dr. Muktiningsih, M.Si was pleased to attend, gave a speech, and at the same time opened this workshop. After that, Dr. Makmuri as the Coordinator of the Master of Mathematics Education Study Program gave a speech. In his speech, he emphasised the importance of publication for lecturers and students. This event invited speakers who are very competent in this field, especially Prof. Dr. Zulkardi, M.Ikom., M.Sc. who is also the chief editor of the Journal on Mathematics Education (JME).

Prof Zul presented material that is important for lecturers and students who are preparing a bachelor thesis or thesis, including: why writing articles is important? Characteristics of quality articles, searching for National Accredited Journals in SINTA, Information related to JME: Reputable International Journals (Scopus), and up-to-date research topics and sources.
