Staff Development

Education staff development includes the upgrading of professional status and academics ranks. The faculty supports staff to carry out continuous professional-development as stated in the Minister of Research, Technology and Higher Education Regulation No. 44 of 2016 concerning National Higher Education Standards in article 39 paragraph 3 point e. Furthermore, professional development for lecturers is done with support to further study at the doctoral level in Indonesian universities  or abroad. The intended disciplines  follow the need analysis of the study program human resource development. Lecturers will then continue their studies after receiving a permit or assignment letter to the Chancellor submitted by the Dean. Funding support for lecturers’ further study is carried out through ministerial scholarship programs such as the Education Fund Management Institute (LPDP) and university funding or partnership grants such as the Saudi Fund for Development (SFD). Lecturer pedagogical competence development is provided through training such as Pekerti and Applied Approach (AA) which are facilitated by the UNJ Education Development and Quality Assurance Institute (LPPPM), as well as other pedagogical training such as PjBL and CBL learning workshops, Outcome Based Education (OBE) curriculum, curricula MBKM, etc. Professional competency development related to developing lecturers’ scientific fields is conducted through research and community service grants at the faculty, university, and ministry levels. The Professional development is carried out in collaboration with partners from various institutions through collaborative research and community service at the national and international levels, competency training, national and international seminars, guest lecturers, ongoing studies, etc.

Meanwhile, professional competency development for education staff is carried out through English training, laboratory training, OHS, ICT management system training, and accounting management training. The education staff are requested to participate in training based on their field of expertise and priority needs so that academic services in study programs and faculties continue to run.

The development of lecturers’ academic ranks is in line with professional development, which will increase the competence and skill of individual lecturers.
