Community Service
Community service is another form of implementing the Tri Dharma of Higher Education and a form of responsibility of the academic community to the community. Community service is an effort carried out by someone either individually, collectively or in a group or institution to help improve the standard of living of the community being assisted in accordance with the mission they carry out. Community service by universities must therefore include several aspects:
- Development of science, technology and arts;
- Dissemination of science, technology and art;
- Application of science, technology and art;
- Providing expertise assistance to the community;
- Providing professional services to the community.
Community service activities in the Physics Study Program are used by lecturers and students to apply theories obtained in society, as well as as a contribution from academic groups to develop and empower society towards civil society and understanding technology.
Community service is carried out routinely every year in the form of training activities and dissemination of lecturers’ research results in the form of appropriate technology in the target areas. This activity is coordinated by the Physics study program and carried out in three stages, namely the preparation stage, implementation stage and reporting stage. At the preparation and reporting stage, active participation is required from Physics Study Program students, who are guided by Physics Study Program lecturers. Meanwhile, at the implementation stage, all study program lecturers act as those responsible for and implementing the activities. P2M ONLINE
