“Scopus” at the 2019 National Physics Seminar

The 2019 National Physics Seminar is a forum for periodic scientific meetings held by the Physics and Physics Education Study Program, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Jakarta State University in collaboration with the Physical Society of Indonesia Chapter Jakarta and Banten. National Physics Seminar 2019, as a forum for interaction, collaboration and integration between educators, researchers and practitioners, was held on Saturday 29 June 2019 at the Dewi Sartika Building, Campus A, Jakarta State University. Since it was first held until its 8th implementation, the National Physics Seminar was part of the Jakarta State University Anniversary series of events. The collaboration in organizing the National Physics Seminar with the Jakarta branch of the Indonesian Physics Association began in 2014. Through this collaboration, it is hoped that it can make a positive contribution to the progress of science in Indonesia, especially in the fields of physics education and applied physics.

The seminar with the theme “The Role of Physics and Physics Education in Technology Innovation for Nation Competencies in the Industry 4.0.” presented three main speakers, namely

  1. Dr. ing. Eko Supriyanto (Director of IJN-UTM Cardiovascular Engineering Center)
  2. rer. nat. Bambang Heru Iswanto, M.Si (Physics Lecturer at Jakarta State University)
  3. Heru Kuswanto, M.Sc (Head of Physics Education Masters Program at Yogyakarta State University)

2019 is the first year of the Scopus indexed National Physics Seminar and has contracted with the publisher of AIP (American Institute of Physics) where selected articles will be published there. The total number of seminar participants this time was 268 participants, with fields of study covering: Physics Education; Instrumentation and Computing Physics; Material Physics, Biophysics and Medical Physics; Earth and Space Sciences; Theoretical, Particle and Nuclear Physics; and Environmental Physics and Renewable Energy. With details of participants from UNJ as many as 110 and outside UNJ as many as 158.
