Cooperation of the Universitas Negeri Jakarta Physics Group and MAN 2 Ciracas East Jakarta in the Implementation of Physics Through Community Service 2023

As one form of higher education tri dharma, the physics cluster (physics study program and physics education) Jakarta State University is again holding a Community Service Program (P2M) in 2023. This year, P2M is being held again in an integrated manner at MAN 2 Ciracas Jakarta East. This activity involved all academics, namely lecturers, teachers, students and students of MAN 2 Ciracas. This activity was carried out in collaboration with lecturers from the physics group at Jakarta State University and MAN 2 Ciracas through the 2023 Community Service Grant (P2M) funded by Jakarta State University.

The P2M event was held for two days, namely providing material for class XI and XII students on the first day and providing material for teachers and students on the second day. The first day will be held on Tuesday 22 August 2023 in the Hall of MAN 2 Ciracas and the Biology Laboratory. The event began with an opening moderated by Purwa Laksana, M.Si, then continued with remarks by the physics education program coordinator Dr. Hadi Nasbey, principal of MAN 2 Ciracas Aceng Solihin, S.Pd.I., M.A. Then, dr. Hadi Nasbey gave a set of measurement tools to Mr. Aceng Solihin, S.Pd.I., M.A. to deepen the relationship in the future. The event ended with a closing prayer by Haris Suhendar, M.Si, and continued with a group photo.

The following are the presenters and the title of the training material on the first day

  • Dr. Teguh Budi Prayitno with the title Physics Simulation Using Microsoft Excel as Learning Media for High School Students in Ciracas Village, East Jakarta
  • Riser Fahdiran, M.Si with the title Astronomical Observation Training
  • Handjoko Permana, M.Si with the title Data Processing and Visualization Training with the Python programming language
  • Dwi Susanti, M.Pd with the title PPM training in the basics of measurement to improve measurement competency in physics practicum activities
  • Prof. Dr. Mangasi A. Marpaung with the title Training on developing global warming learning aids using CO2 gas sensors
  • Haris Suhendar, M.Si with the title Introduction to microcontroller learning using a 4-pin Grove connector-based module at MAN 2 Ciracas
  • Dr. Esmar Budi with the title Learning Mechanics, Electricity and Heat Physics Laboratory in the Education Unit of the Superior Fostered Areas of East Jakarta
  • Upik Rahma, M.Pd with the title Workshop on making internet of things (IoT) to train data classification skills at MAN 2 Ciracas

The second day is the provision of materials for teachers and students, which will be held on Wednesday 23 August 2023 in the Hall of MAN 2 Ciracas. In this activity, the committee team invited Dr. Muhammad Abd Hadi Bunyamin from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), Malaysia, as the keynote speaker who gave material on STEM in physics education. Meanwhile, the speaker for the physics group at the Jakarta State University is

  • Prof. Dr. Agus Setyo Budi with the title Dissemination of eSWoP (Electronic Student Worksheet of Physics) with STEM Education to Improve the Digital Competence of Physics Teachers in Jakarta
  • Prof. Dr. Sunaryo with the title Building a Physics STEM Teaching Community in East Jakarta through the 21st Century Learning Development Workshop (in Collaboration with Universiti Teknologi Malaysia)
  • Dr. Anggara Budi Susila with the title PKM WBUF: Workshop on the Implementation of STEM Education in Physics Learning at Madrasah Aliyah throughout Jakarta
  • Dr. Hadi Nasbey with the title DILLEMA-STEM Learning Model Training at MAN 2 Jakarta

To increase student motivation in activities, presenters in each session give two door prizes to students who can answer the questions posed. The students were very enthusiastic to answer questions to get the available door prizes. The event was closed with a group photo between lecturers, students, teachers and students.

We, the P2M committee for the physics group at the State University of Jakarta, would like to express our deepest gratitude to the presenters, student committee, board of teachers of MAN 2 Ciracas, students, and all those who helped so that this activity could run well. In addition, we hope to cooperate again in other activities in the future.
