EPSILON: E-Learning Physics and Physics Education Study Program Universitas Negeri Jakarta
As a form of effort to increase students’ interest in learning, especially in facing the industrial era 4.0, the physics and physics education study programs are working together to provide online learning media called Epsilon. Epsilon contains lecture materials that can be studied online. This is very useful for review material, especially for difficult materials such as calculus, mathematical physics, and other courses that involve calculations. Epsilon can be visited at the address
The long-term goal of Epsilon is that all lecture activities including lecture material, assignments and quizzes can be done online. This adopts an online learning system from leading campuses, such as MIT which has a collaboration with John & Wiley in learning basic physics. This makes it easier for lecturers and students if conventional learning systems are difficult to implement, especially during the Covid-19 pandemic which is still hitting Indonesia.
Around 2012, the physics and physics education study program actually provided online learning media for basic physics and calculus courses through collaboration with John & Wiley. However, this collaboration only lasted a few years, one of the reasons being the available funds. Therefore, through Epsilon, students are expected to increase their interest in learning because there is no fee charged.
