Online Colloquium: Technical Qualitative and Quantitative Analysis of X-Ray Diffraction Data

Online Colloquium: Technical Qualitative and Quantitative Analysis of X-Ray Diffraction Data

As a substitute for the general stadium which is usually held at the beginning of the semester due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the Physics Study Program at Universitas Negeri Jakarta held an online colloquium entitled ‘Qualitative and Quantitative Analysis Techniques for X-Ray Diffraction Data’ which was held on: Day/date: Wednesday, July 22, 2020

Time: 09.00 a.m. to 12.00 p.m.

Platform: Zoom virtual meeting

The speaker at this colloquium was Dr. Erfan Handoko, M.Si and moderated by Riser Fahdiran M.Si, both of whom are Universitas Negeri Jakarta physics lecturers. His field of research is magnetic material experiments, especially those related to the characteristics of magnetic materials for applications in nanotechnology. At this colloquium, he explained the theory of X-ray diffraction and applied it in experiments. Apart from that, he also explained how to analyze data from diffraction results related to the physical meaning obtained.

This colloquium was attended by around 60 participants from both lecturers and students. In the attendance list, there were several participants from outside Universitas Negeri Jakarta, such as UNTIRTA, Planetarium, Bhayangkara University Jakarta, and Global University Jakarta. Therefore, hopefully, this colloquium event can be held again considering the quite large interest of the participants.
