Universitas Negeri Jakarta Holds Public Lecture with Distinguished Alumni of Physics Study Program

Jakarta, November 16, 2023 – The State Universitas Negeri Jakarta (UNJ) organized a public lecture featuring prominent alumni from the Physics Study Program. Entitled “The Role of Physics Alumni in the Industrial World,” the event took place on Thursday, November 16, 2023, from 08:30 to 12:00 in the main lecture hall of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) at UNJ.

The event commenced with an opening address by the Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs of FMIPA UNJ, providing an introduction and expectations for this activity. In the opening remarks, the Deputy Dean emphasized the importance of involving alumni in academic activities to provide practical insights to students.

The keynote speaker for this public lecture was Jevita Andini Juliana, S.Si., M.M., an alumna of the Physics Study Program at UNJ, currently pursuing a career at PT. Hewlett Packard Indonesia. Jevita Andini Juliana shared her experiences and perspectives regarding the role of physics alumni in the industrial world.

Also present as another speaker was Haris Suhendar, M.Sc., a lecturer from the Physics Study Program at UNJ. He provided an academic viewpoint on the significant role of physics in the industrial world and how students can prepare themselves to face these challenges.

The event was attended by Physics students from the 2020 and 2023 batches, displaying enthusiasm to gain insights and experiences from the speakers. This opportunity served as an important moment for students to ask questions and engage in direct discussions with experienced speakers.

With the theme “The Role of Physics Alumni in the Industrial World,” it is hoped that this event will inspire and motivate students of the Physics Study Program at UNJ to pursue successful careers in the industrial sector after graduation.
