Thursday Afternoon Seminar Series, Physics Department, Jakarta State University: Series 1 “Computational Physics: Material Design”

On Thursday, March 8, 2024, the Physics Department of Jakarta State University hosted a seminar featuring a speaker in the field of computational physics, Dr. Teguh Budi Prayitno, M.Si. The event titled “Computational Physics: Material Design” discussed recent research in material design using the Density Functional Theory (DFT) approach.

Dr. Teguh Budi Prayitno, a researcher in his field, provided profound insights into the application of DFT in designing innovative and efficient materials. The content presented not only enriched knowledge in material physics but also offered new perspectives in the development of future material technologies.

The seminar was attended by students and faculty of the Physics Department. To ensure accessibility, the seminar was conducted online via the Zoom platform, allowing participation from various demographics unrestricted by geographic distance.

This seminar provided participants with the opportunity to directly inquire from the speaker about the discussed topics and engage in discussions to gain deeper understanding. Such activities not only enhance academic understanding but also strengthen interprofessional networks in the field of physics.

Thus, the “Computational Physics: Material Design” seminar stands as a valuable event for the advancement of science and technology in Indonesia. Jakarta State University is committed to continuing such activities to advance the field of physics and support the growth of a competitive academic community.
