The XRD Data Analysis Workshop was held by the Chemistry Study Program, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Jakarta State University. This event aims to provide knowledge and practical skills to chemistry students in analyzing X-ray diffraction (XRD) data more accurately, effectively and efficiently.

This workshop was attended by UNJ chemistry students. In this series of activities, they were introduced to the basic principles of XRD and analytical techniques using Match 3 software.

The workshop started with an introductory session delivered by Dr. Setia Budi, M.Sc, regarding the importance of XRD data analysis for phase identification in samples. Then the workshop continued with the delivery of material and training by Dr. Rachmat Adhi Wibowo from the Austrian Institute of Technology. He gave an overview of the basic concepts of X-ray diffraction, the use of XRD devices, the process of collecting diffraction data and how to analyze the data with the Match 3 application.

Furthermore, participants were given the opportunity to directly practice how to analyze the prepared XRD data. In this session, participants held discussions with each other and with resource persons. Next, the resource person gave a discussion regarding the results of the XRD analysis that had been carried out.

The XRD Data Analysis Workshop succeeded in providing a strong platform for the participants to develop their skills and knowledge in analyzing X-ray diffraction data.
